Diving at Svenstrup Beach

A good spot for an after-work dive with friends, for father and son or mother and daughter – with spearfishing for flatfish and a fire on the beach.

A varied site

Swim a little to the left and you reach a varied area with mixed seabed. Large scattered stones with seaweed and growth alternate with stretches of sand and smaller patches of eelgrass. It is not particularly deep here – 4–5 metres at most.

If you are spearfishing for flatfish, look for turbot and brill.

Diving safety

• Always follow the rules of your diving certificate. You are responsible for your own safety.
• There may be currents in the Great Belt – strength and direction can vary.
• Never dive alone; always dive with at least one buddy.
• Use a surface marker buoy.
