Fanø Biennale 2026
Experience Fanø Biennale 2026 in Sønderho with contemporary art, literature, sound art, film, readings and workshops from 25 September to 25 October.

Fanø Biennale returns for the third time, inviting visitors to a month of contemporary art, literature and sound art in Sønderho on Fanø. From 25 September to 25 October, exhibitions and events unfold in intimate spaces, historic buildings and local gathering places around the town. In 2026, the biennale expands with a new exhibition space aboard the Fanø ferry Grotte.
The programme brings together installations, film, sound art, readings, workshops and activities for young people. Participating artists include Morten Goll, Kah Bee Chow, Daniella Florez, Lasse Toft Eriksen, Szabolcs Fabian, Deniz Kiy and Pernille Abd el Dayem.
The opening weekend takes place from 25 to 27 September.
The biennale is curated by Marie Vedel and developed in collaboration with Jens Kæmpe and Sissel Holse. Rooted in Sønderho's artistic community, it lets visitors encounter art in different places throughout the town.
