Frøken Nitouche
Hidden identities and dreams of show business lead to comic complications behind the convent walls. Experience Figaros and Den Ny Opera’s comedy show at Musikhuset Esbjerg, where operetta meets musical theater, soul and swing.
A classic gets the wonderfully wacky Figaros treatment as the operetta from 1883 becomes the comedy show Frøken Nitouche … laver halløj i klostret.
Behind the convent walls, organist Celestin hides his true identity as the composer Floridor, while Frøken Nitouche dreams of a life in show business. When singer Deloris Van Cartier seeks refuge in the convent disguised as a nun, things really start to go wrong.
Comic complications, hidden identities and an entire regiment of Guard Hussars set the scene for a show that blends operetta, musical theater, soul and swing.
