Holtser Hage is a beautiful beach with views over both sides of Vejle Fjord. It consists of a reef built up of sand, gravel, and seashells, extending into the fjord.

You’ll find the best sandy beach for sunbathing and play on the western side of the spit. Be aware that there may be strong currents near the spit, so be cautious if you plan to swim.

Nature at Holtser Hage

The nature surrounding Holtser Hage is incredibly beautiful, and the beach is classified as a coastal meadow, a rare natural habitat in Denmark. Sheep are used to graze the meadow, allowing the beach's plants to thrive.

Take a detour from the beach to the protected forest area of Holtser Hage and Vigen Skov or explore the area near Andkær Vig, where you can also find shelters and fire pits.

Holtser Hage is also a great spot for birdwatching, especially during the spring migration.

Directions

Follow the signs towards Andkær Vig. Where the road curves inland, a gravel road called Lodsvej leads down towards the water. Follow the road to the parking area. From there, you can walk the rest of the way to Holtser Hage.
