Horse riding route along the Nature Trail (Horsens-Silkeborg)
The former railway line has now been converted into a pleasant nature trail. The nature trail provides beautiful surroundings for a pleasant horse ride.
The railway between Horsens and Bryrup was called ‘Denmark's most beautiful railway’.
Beautiful nature trail
The railway was later extended to Silkeborg, but it has long since been closed down and replaced by a nature trail for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
The trail has an asphalt surface on one side, which is easily accessible for bicycles, wheelchairs, prams and roller skates, while the other side has a gravel surface, which is particularly suitable for horse riders and walkers. A 5 km stretch of the track is used as a railway for vintage trains during the summer months.
