Hvolris Iron Age by Viborg

Rewind time and experience the ancient craftsmanship of Hvolris Iron Age near Viborg. Throughout the summer, there are changing activities with live entertainment, crafts, archery and campfire cooking.

Explore the Sculpture valley and enjoy the exhibition. Take a break in the café and let the children play at the playground. Try out the walking paths, which are also suitable for wheelchairs (with assistance).

Historical experiences at Hvolris

Our ancestors have lived in the area since the Stone Age - about 6,000 years ago and until now. Hvolris primarily focuses on the Iron Age in the time around year 0. Uniquely for a historical workshop, you can see archaeological excavations side by side with the reconstructed Iron Age village in the hills at Hvolris.
