Jørgensen and Mørch Design

At Jørgensen og Mørch Design in Fensmark, you can visit the gallery and see some of the unique glass art created by the two artists. On the first floor, you will find the gallery and workshop, while the shop is located on the ground floor.

In their workshop, Jytte Mørch and Torben Jørgensen use techniques that date all the way back to ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia.

The technique is known as “kiln-fired glass” and differs from the blown products of glassworks in that the glass is made in ceramic kilns.

Glass fragments, sheet glass and rods are used as raw materials and fused together to form, among other things, sheets. During a further firing, the glass is heated and shaped in moulds so that it can be made into various functional objects.
