The former Korean restaurant, Juju, has now been transformed into a Korean fried chicken sandwich bar. In July 2022, Michelin-starred chef Kristian Baumann – previously known from 108 and Koan – opened Juju in collaboration with head chef Youngjin Kim. The aim was to combine traditional flavors from Korean cuisine with locally sourced Danish ingredients. Now, Juju has taken the sandwich route instead – but that certainly doesn’t make it any less interesting. Their sandwich buns are supplied by Juno Bakery, located in Østerbro just like the restaurant. All sandwich fillings are prepared in-house by the kitchen. The most eye-catching – and perhaps the restaurant’s signature specialty – is the juicy, flavorful, and messy Korean fried chicken, which you can enjoy with a range of different sides. You can either dine in at the restaurant or take your food to go. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with comfort food at the center.

See Juju’s menu on their website here.
