Kajakmanden – experience the fjord from the water
Kajakmanden offers active outdoor experiences on Roskilde Fjord, with sea kayaks for hire and guided kayaking tours set in scenic natural surroundings. The experience is suitable for both beginners and experienced paddlers and provides a unique perspective on the fjord landscape when viewed from the water.
Kajakmanden is centrally located at Roskilde Harbour and rents out high-quality sea kayaks on an hourly or daily basis. All essential equipment is included, allowing visitors to explore Roskilde Fjord, the nearby Isefjord, or parts of the Skjoldungernes Land National Park at their own pace.
Kayak hire and equipment
Kajakmanden rents sea kayaks to both novice and experienced paddlers. Hire is available for a few hours or several days, and all necessary equipment, including buoyancy aid, paddle and spray deck, is provided. Kayaks can also be delivered to a preferred launch location for a small additional fee.
Guided tours, courses and activities
In addition to kayak hire, visitors can join guided kayaking tours focusing on nature, wildlife and shared outdoor experiences. Each tour includes a brief introduction to basic kayaking techniques. Kajakmanden also offers kayaking courses for those wishing to learn fundamental skills and safety, as well as social activities such as kayak polo.
