Krabbesholm Forest
The forest’s great diversity and the high age of its trees create the foundation for an impressive biodiversity. The area is particularly interesting for those with an interest in fungi and insects, but the birdlife and the varied herb vegetation also stand out locally.
A dense network of paths makes it possible to explore the entire forest, although some routes include significant inclines and require a bit more effort from hikers.
Among the historical traces in the forest is a Stone Age kitchen midden. Along the forest edge lies the old Krabbesholm estate, which today is home to Krabbesholm Folk High School.
