Late Summer Festival - Swedish stars and enchanting Brahms
The festival concludes with a star-studded performance of Brahms’s great piano quartet—dark, dance-like, and captivating.

The festival concludes with a star-studded gathering of three prominent Swedish musicians and a closing concert that ranges from Bach as a mirror and starting point to grand Romantic forms.
Before intermission, you’ll hear short Bach movements in new arrangements, solo pieces with a sharp edge, and Kodály’s intense duo, in which violin and cello intertwine with both power and sincerity.
After the intermission, the evening culminates in Brahms’ Piano Quartet in G minor, Op. 25—dark, dance-like, and dramatic, with a Hungarian-inspired finale. Anette Slaatto rounds out the quartet on the viola.
