In the late 1800s, the idea of a pleasure park in the town arose, and in 1898, Ringsted Park was established as an English garden.
The park was later expanded, first with a Pavilion in 1907, then a Music Stand in 1917, and in 1932, a connection was made between a new lake – Swan Lake – and the existing amoeba-shaped Teglovns Lake, with a bridge built over the canal.
The bridge was renovated in 2010.
The structure of the park has been preserved as one of the few intact garden layouts from that time, and the park is now protected.
