Experience the warm saltwater pool at Mariager Saltcenter

Get “salt on the brain” and experience the warm saltwater pool at Mariager Saltcenter – also known as “The Dead Sea”.

This is no ordinary heated pool. The salt content of the water is so high that you can clearly feel its unusual buoyancy. Lie back, let yourself float and experience the feeling of being almost weightless in the approximately 40°C saltwater.

The saltwater pool offers a different and relaxing experience as part of your visit to Mariager Saltcenter.

Take a dip in Mariager Fjord

Is there a Viking in you? Put on your bathing sandals and head outside to the bathing jetty, where you have direct access to Mariager Fjord.

Here, you can combine the warm saltwater pool with a refreshing dip in the fjord and experience the contrast between the warm saltwater indoors and the fjord outside.

Access to the saltwater pool is included in the admission price to Mariager Saltcenter, making it easy to combine your swim with the centre’s other experiences.

Remember to bring swimwear and a towel – as well as bathing sandals and a bathrobe if you are planning to take a dip in the fjord.

Café Salt

After your swim, visit Café Salt, which serves a selection of lunch dishes, including sandwiches and salads.

On fine days, you can enjoy your meal on the terrace overlooking Mariager Fjord. Even when the weather is less inviting, you can sit sheltered inside one of the four greenhouses on the terrace and enjoy both your meal and the view of the water.

Wellness at Salt Touch

Mariager Saltcenter is also home to the Salt Touch wellness clinic. Treatments include salt scrubs, Dead Sea treatments, facial treatments with massage and wellness massage, as well as alternative treatments such as healing, clairvoyance and psychic readings.
