National Cycle Route N4 – Søndervig–Copenhagen via Kalundborg (Cycle Route)

Across West Zealand on Two Wheels

National Cycle Route N4 stretches all the way from Søndervig on the North Sea coast to Copenhagen, and along the way it passes through some of West Zealand's most varied landscapes. From Kalundborg Harbour Heading East

The route has its West Zealand starting point at Kalundborg Harbour, where ferries from Jutland dock. Already within the first few kilometres, you notice the shift from harbour town to open landscape, where roads wind through Kalundborg Municipality with views over Jammerland Bay to the south.

The surface alternates between paved cycle paths and minor country roads with limited traffic, and the route is suitable for standard bicycles with gears. The total distance from Søndervig to Copenhagen is approximately 310 kilometres, but the West Zealand stage can easily be divided into day stages with overnight stays along the way.
