Set amidst the beautiful countryside of Jyske Ås, right where the forest meets the open landscape, you’ll find a cosy shelter site that invites you to enjoy peace and quiet, a sense of connection and experiences of nature. Here, you can wake up to the sounds of the forest, enjoy the evening by the campfire and experience nature up close.

The shelter site is situated directly on the cycle and footpath through Jyske Ås and forms part of the Hærvejen national cycle route. This makes it an ideal stop for both walkers and cyclists who wish to take a break from their journey or extend their experience of nature by spending the night under the stars.

The site features a shelter accommodating 4–6 people, as well as a composting toilet, a tap, a campfire pit, firewood, and tables and benches.

The shelter site is a great base for exploring Jyske Ås, which offers a varied landscape of woodland, hills and open spaces. Whether you’re on a longer walking or cycling trip or simply looking for a cosy night in the great outdoors, the shelter site is a place where you can slow down and get up close to the nature of North Jutland.
