Open-air Theatre Skansen
From 2 to 11 July, Skansen in Hals will once again be transformed into a magical open-air stage. This summer, we invite the audience on an enchanting journey into the forest – a place where dreams, hopes and secrets intertwine, and where nothing is quite as it seems.

Into the Woods is Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical, which brings together well-known fairy-tale characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Jack and the Beanstalk with humour, music and depth. In the story, we also meet a baker and his wife, who must venture into the woods to break an ancient curse. Their fate becomes intertwined with that of the other fairy-tale characters, for better or worse. Everyone has wishes that drive them into the woods, but what happens when they come true? The production plays with the classic fairy-tale ending and focuses sharply on the consequences of getting what you thought you wanted.
So grab your family, friends or neighbours and experience how the forest opens up, full of magic, music and fairy-tale stories.
