Panzermuseum East houses the largest private collection of Warsaw Pact military vehicles in Scandinavia — and right in the middle of it all, you can park your motorhome and sleep surrounded by tanks, armoured personnel carriers and a parkland that feels like another world entirely.

A motorhome pitch in 17 hectares of nature

The camper pitch is situated within the museum's park and plantation grounds, spanning 17 hectares of paved paths, six small lakes and a silence broken only by birdsong and the occasional passing deer. The site belongs to the "Landsted" category in the motorhome world, and you notice it straight away. There are no tightly packed pitches or campsite noise here — just open nature and the feeling of having the entire forest to yourself.

Facilities and practical information

The pitch has electricity available, and there is a chemical toilet disposal point just metres from the parking area. Drinking water can be found at the outdoor rinsing station, and a forest toilet with flush is a short walk from the pitch. Everything you need is in place, without disrupting the nature experience.

The field mess, a covered dining house seating over 30 people, is perfect for group gatherings with barbecue and campfire atmosphere.

Panzermuseum East is located approximately 13 kilometres south of Slagelse town centre, close to the E20 motorway, making it easily accessible from both Zealand and Funen via the Great Belt Bridge. From here it is a short drive to the Viking fortress Trelleborg, the historic town centre of Korsør and the charming harbour setting of Skælskør.
