Wickerwork and views of Nørresø

Pilehaven is situated on Sct. Ibs Gade on the western shore of Nørresø. Here, the gate leads into a green open space with views of the lake.

The striking wicker fence features spire-shaped pillars inspired by Viborg Cathedral, which can be seen from the garden.

A garden shaped by natural materials

During the renovation in 1995-1996, basket weaver Bent Vinkler created woven fences and features made of willow and maple. Landscape architect Marie Vedel-Rieper contributed to the design.

The natural materials give the garden a sculptural character and highlight wickerwork as both a craft and a garden feature.

Combine your visit with the Viborg Lakes

Pilehaven lies on the route around the Viborg Lakes and is an ideal stop on a walk or cycle ride along Nørresø. The route around the lake is 5.7 kilometres long and connects several green spaces and recreational areas.
