Primitive Camping at Mikkels Hus, Østerild Plantation

No. 75.

This primitive camping site is located on an old woodman's land 100 meters north of the Forestry Commission's building, Mikkel's House. There is a privy, water and free firewood available. Shopping: 6 km.

The site also serves as a camp for larger groups such as scouts, schools, etc - this requires pre-booking.  

Driving down the 17 road, from Østerild, towards Vesløs, turn north (left), just before the white farmhouse on the left. Then through the courtyard at the Forestry Commission's house (Mikkel's House) and down the forest road. The site is located on the right.
