The Iron Age settlements in Sjelborg Plantage near Esbjerg - Sjelborg settlement. In 1956-57, Esbjerg Museum excavated protected house settlements from the older Roman Iron Age (around year 0).

The detached settlements are only part of a much larger village, which has been proven in the fields south and west of the now plotted house settlements.
Location
From Myrthuevej go down Bopladsvej.
After 50 m there is a parking place. Continue down Bopladsvej until the sign - jernaldertomterne.
If you park in the car park on Bopladsvej, there are approx. 700 meters to walk.
