Rø Church
Rø Church is peacefully located in a scenic area surrounded by forest and open countryside. It is a beautiful reconstruction of an earlier medieval church and combines history with simple architectural elegance. A visit offers a calm and atmospheric experience in nature.

A church with historical roots
Rø Church is located in Rø on Bornholm. The current church from 1888 replaces a Romanesque church that was demolished in 1887 when it was deemed too dilapidated to be preserved.
Rebuilt in the neo-Romanesque style
The current church is built in the neo-Romanesque style and is largely a copy of the original church from around 1200. It thus continues the historical expression and maintains the connection to the area's medieval architecture.
Traces of the old church
In both the porch and the tower room you can see various fragments from the old church, which provide an exciting insight into the building's earlier history.
17th-century furnishings
The church also contains older furnishings, including an altarpiece and a pulpit from the early 17th century, which testify to the church's long history and cultural significance.
