Rønbjerg Hede heath is located north of Flyndersø and shows traces of human life and occupation over many centuries. The heath used to be an important pasture for the animals of the surrounding farms.
In 1940, a wheel was found, believed to be from the 12th or 13th century, and it is now kept at Skive Museum. The wheel is thought to have been from a four-wheeled cart.
A well-preserved circular wall can still be seen on Rønbjerg Hede, thought to have been a cattle or sheep pen. The circular wall is 15–18 m across and 0.5-1 m high. From the highest point on Rønbjerg Hede, there are amazing views of Flyndersø and Hjelm Hede.
