Shelter Kyndby Huse
Stay overnight with views of the fjord and wake up surrounded by unspoilt Danish nature at Kyndby Huse.

Close to the fjord and open landscapes
Kyndby Huse Shelter is set on an elevated grassy area enclosed by steep slopes with trees and shrubs, offering good natural shelter from the wind. The shelter faces north and accommodates 6–8 people. Please note that there are currently no toilet facilities on site.
Right on the Fjord Path
The shelter is located along the Fjord Path (Regional Route 40), a popular long-distance walking and cycling route that runs directly past the site and connects several towns along Roskilde Fjord, a scenic inlet north-west of Copenhagen.
You will find the shelter at the end of Kyndbyvej in Kyndbyhuse, just before Kyndby Power Station. Access is via the steps opposite the small marina, Kyndby Huse Boat Harbour. At the yellow building before the gate, follow the tall stone staircase and keep right into the natural hollow where the shelter is situated.
Free overnight stay in the open air
The shelter is free to use and operates on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to secure your stay, booking via the Danish outdoor portal Friluftsguiden gives you priority.
There is a small car park by the marina approximately 160 metres from the shelter and a larger gravel car park on the south side of Kyndbyvej around 350 metres away.
