Shelter: Sofielundskoven

The shelter site is located in the northern part of the forest, in a small clearing in the spruce forest on the edge of a small stream.

Sofielund Forest is a municipal forest of approximately 40 hectares owned by Svendborg municipality. The forest is very diverse with many ponds, old oak trees, spruce trees, beech forests, untouched areas, and areas with newly planted trees. There are fine trails throughout the forest and many small footpaths. There are many great opportunities for outdoor activities in the forest, including a resting area with a fire hut, a shelter site, and a fire pit.

At the shelter site, there are two large shelters with space for an entire school class. There are 2 fire pits – one large one for cooking and a small cozy fire pit close to the shelters, as well as tables and benches.
