It is the day when restaurateurs from Svendborg and the surrounding areas compete to see who makes the soup of the year.

Soup Day is a festive event in Svendborg where restaurateurs from the city and surrounding areas gather to compete for the title of Soup of the Year. All visitors receive a spoon at the entrance and can then walk around and taste each soup before placing their spoon in the washing tub of the restaurateur they think is the best. The soups range widely from classic Danish favorites to innovative creations.

The winner of the prestigious Soup Stone is announced at the end of the day and awarded to the restaurateur with the most votes. This honorable prize recognizes not only the best taste but also the restaurateur's ability to impress with creativity and craftsmanship.

To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to taste all soups, the audience will be let into teams and by purchasing a ticket, you buy access to a specific time slot.
