Magnificent sea trout spot with excellent chances for cod and pollack – plus mackerel and garfish in season.
You can wade a little out onto the reef, but be careful: The current is surprisingly strong, and the drop-off to deep water comes quickly. A truly great spot for summer fishing – and not just during the dark hours.
When the current runs (and it often does), you can encounter a big sea trout on the reef, close to shore, even in the hottest periods.
Also try the area’s other good spot: “The Garages.” You’ll find it by walking along the beach past the stone jetty and a bit further east of Strib Lighthouse. The name hints at the building type near the shore – and the intriguing dark bottom reveals the spot.
