Blue Flag

Udbyhøj Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag. The scheme sets requirements for areas including bathing water quality, safety, information and facilities. There is a kiosk and toilets in the fishing harbour. The strait between north and south Udbyhøj connects the Kattegat with Randers Fjord and the Gudenå river system. 

SUP at Udbyhøj Beach

Udbyhøj Beach is also a good place for stand-up paddleboarding. The shallow water close to the beach makes it suitable for a relaxed SUP trip.

Parts of Randers Fjord and the adjoining meadows are designated Natura 2000 areas for the protection of habitats and species.
