From Vedersø Strand Camping, it’s easy to set off and explore on two wheels. From here, cycling routes and small country roads take you through some of the West Coast’s most beautiful natural landscapes – from open dunes and peaceful woodland to the North Sea and Nissum Fjord.

If you haven’t brought your own bikes, Vedersø Strand Camping works with Hvide Sande Bike and Søndervig Cykeludlejning. You can choose from different types of bikes, book online and have them delivered directly to the campsite.

At reception, we’re also happy to help you find inspiration for cycling trips in the area – whether you’re looking for a short family ride or a full day in the saddle.

Through dunes and woodland
A lovely trip for the whole family is the approximately 10 km route around Vester Husby.
The route takes you through the beautiful dunes of Husby Dune Plantation and on through the peaceful woodland surroundings.

Along the way, you can stop at the family-friendly bathing lake at Skavemosen, discover one of the area’s viewpoints or take a detour to Husby Church.

All the way around Nissum Fjord
If you’re in the mood for a longer day on your bike, the 84.5 km route around Nissum Fjord awaits. The route follows cycle paths, small roads and bridges all the way around the fjord, offering open landscapes, fjord views and abundant birdlife.

Nissum Fjord is a wildlife reserve and an important area for many bird species, including breeding waterbirds. So there are plenty of reasons to slow down and enjoy nature along the way.

Follow the West Coast
From Vedersø Strand Camping, you can also join the West Coast Route directly and head north or south.
This combined walking and cycling route follows the West Coast through a landscape shaped by the sea, wind and sand. The aim isn’t necessarily to get to your destination quickly, but to enjoy everything you encounter along the way.

And when your bikes are parked again after a day in the fresh westerly breeze, Restaurant Havtorn, right by the campsite, is ready to round off the day with a delicious meal.
