The old vicarage in Humble

The vicarage was probably the largest farm in Humble with more than 100 acres of land. One winter's day in 1917, the vicarage's large farm buildings burned down and the farm's land was parcelled out. The vicarage was later demolished and replaced by a smaller and more modern vicarage in 1964.

Across the street was ‘Præstedammen’, the town's street pond and fire pond with a drop at both ends, so you could pull

horse-drawn carriages could be pulled into the water to wash them after driving through the muck. When the road was widened, the pond was made half as wide and later remodelled

into the street pond that exists today.
