Visdommens Kilde

Artist: Keld Moseholm

The small figures in this piece share the same goal. They are struggling their way up the rock and towards the water. One is hanging precariously on one of the nearly vertical sides. Others have climbed higher, but none have reached the top. They are all crawling, and they are all fighting.

With the narrative title The Source of Wisdom, it is clear what they are striving for. They want to drink from the Source of Wisdom, which springs from the center of the stone. Will they ever reach it?

The smallest of the men are those closest to the source. Keld Moseholm himself has explained that this is to show that the world is infinitely vast. Keld Moseholm shapes the figures so that they resemble each other. They have the same body shape, the same color, and they are faceless.
