Here, herbs and medicinal plants are still cultivated, inspired by the monks’ original gardens. As you wander through the gardens, you are met with scents, colours, and historic plants that offer a sensory glimpse into the knowledge of the past.

Christmas Market

Behind the monastery, forests and trails unfold, and in Uhrehøj Plantage you can enjoy both hiking and cycling.

What makes Vitskøl Kloster truly special is that it is still in use today. It is run by Træningsskolens Arbejdsmarkedsuddannelser, where young people help maintain the site, care for the surroundings, and welcome visitors.
