"Æblekage" is a classic Danish dessert. It's not a traditional baked apple cake as the name suggests - it's more like a traditional apple crumble or cobbler with a Danish twist. It's especially delicious served with whipped cream from our own Danish dairies.
Boil the apples in as little water as possible.
Season with sugar and set aside.
Melt the margarine in a saucepan, and add breadcrumbs and sugar. Stir until the mixture is light brown.
Alternately fill breadcrumbs and applesauce in a glass bowl.
Decorate with whipped cream.
