Danish meatballs - a recipe from Denmark

Meatballs are a classic Danish dish and are often seen on a typical lunchtime menu. Here's a recipe so you can make them at home. 


500 g Minced veal and pork (mixed)
2 tbsp Flour
  Salt and pepper
  Grated onion
3 Eggs
  Cream or milk

Recipe from


Knead the meat with the flour, salt and pepper, onion and eggs.

Add the cream or milk if needed to help them stick together - but not too much! The mixture should hold together.

Shape small balls with a spoon.

Put the meatballs in a frying pan and fry them in butter until golden brown.

Serve with potatoes, vegetables or a salad.
