One of Copenhagen’s most picturesque central squares, Gråbrødretorv is now home to a spacious designer bistro serving Middle Eastern comfort food redolent with herbs and exotic spices. The restaurant serves family-style shared menus consisting of 12 dishes as well as à la carte choices.
Headed by Peter Strægaard, former executive chef at Copenhagen’s ever-popular restaurant Pluto, the bistro-style restaurant is set to become a culinary hotspot.
Designed by Copenhagen-based studio Frama, the restaurant offers a carefully curated tactile space of warm-hued wood, floor tiles and custom-made chairs mixed and matched with design classics by Alvar Aalto et al. The interior design reflects the ethos of Frama that focuses on natural materials, simple geometry and a general appreciation of permanency.
