Havnsø Harbour – the gateway to the islands of Sejerø Bay

Havnsø Harbour is more than a marina. It is the natural hub on West Zealand's coast where ferries to Nekselø and Sejerø dock, fishing boats unload their daily catch, and sailors from across the Kattegat find shelter in the protected bay. The harbour sits at the head of Nekselø Bay in Kalundborg Municipality, surrounded by the flat coastal landscape that characterises this part of Zealand.

A harbour with many faces

Havnsø is one of the larger harbours in the area, with room for both commercial fishing and leisure sailing. From Havnsø, ferries run to both Nekselø and Sejerø – two very different island experiences. Nekselø is the small, car-free island with coastal cliffs and bird colonies just 25 minutes away. Sejerø is larger, with a village, beaches and an active island community that can fill an entire day or weekend stay.
