Bandholm Badehotel
Classic Bandholm Badehotel is beautifully and idyllically located on the north coast of Lolland, overlooking the Småland Sea, close to Knuthenborg Safari Park.
The hotel dates back to 1692 and was restored in 1886 in the original English mansion style. It is located in the small, cosy harbour town of Bandholm with yellow half-timbered houses and old warehouses.
The hotel has 42 charming rooms, 7 of which have breathtaking sea views. The rooms are bright and well-appointed, creating an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation.
Bandholm Badehotel is the perfect place for a wonderful beach hotel holiday, whether you visit us in summer or winter, as we are one of the few beach hotels in Denmark that is open most of the year. Bandholm has Denmark's oldest bathing establishment, where generations of travellers have enjoyed a refreshing swim in the Småland Sea.
It also offers a Nordic spa experience with our outdoor saltwater hot tubs, saunas and weekly saunagus, ideal for relaxing after a day of adventure.
In front of the hotel you'll find a small platform from which a vintage train runs through the forest to Maribo during the summer months. Close to the hotel is also the harbour with ferry connections to the charming small islands of Askø and Lilleø.
The dining experience at Bandholm Badehotel is a journey in itself. The hotel has two different restaurants: the gourmet restaurant Essence, which offers an exquisite gastronomic experience, and Brasserie Alba, which offers delicious à la carte dishes. In the Brasserie there is also a lunch menu with delicious open sandwiches and other warm dishes.
