It’s a wonderful place to visit all year round, with plenty of space for outdoor activities, nature experiences and relaxed family time. In the designated quiet forest area, you can slow down and enjoy the calm, while the mountain bike trail offers a faster pace and a proper workout.

The soil here is particularly fertile and the terrain is gently hilly. Beech is the most common tree, and in spring the forest floor is carpeted with flowers, including corydalis and wood anemones. All three Danish anemone species can be found here: white, blue and yellow. The varied woodland is also home to many bird species. In early summer, you may hear a chorus of birdsong from chaffinches, nightingales and other woodland songbirds. In winter, you might be lucky enough to see large flocks of bramblings.

In the middle of the forest you’ll find Boserupgård Nature Centre, which shares local insight into the area’s nature and history.

Cycle routes and mountain biking

Boserup Forest is ideal for cycling, with gravel tracks and smaller paths suitable for families. If you keep quiet, you may spot plenty of wildlife, and it’s not unusual to see roe deer up close.

For a bigger challenge, there is a mountain bike trail of around 10 km through the forest. It’s varied and enjoyable rather than steep, and it’s maintained by the local mountain bike club. Bring a helmet and some water.
