Café Unika
If you're into true Instagram magic, then you'll love visiting the cosy café UNIKA, which is located in a small, cosy room on Albanigade in Odense and has the most adorable little courtyard.
The café is owned by sisters Nathalie, Mathilde and Cecilie Fjord, who have dreamed of opening their own café ever since they were little. It was therefore a big dream that came true in April 2019 when they opened their first location in Odense, Café UNIKA. Since then, they have opened another café, Bar UNIKA, which is located in a beautiful old room in Brandts Passage as part of the popular Latin Quarter.
The sisters have drawn inspiration for their cafés from travelling to London, Mexico and Australia, where they have also lived together on a rotating basis, and the unique setting has made both cafés a huge local success.
The menu has both classic brunch and lunch dishes on the menu, but it is especially the very Instagram-friendly avocado sandwiches and latte-style coffees that have really put the café on the Odense food map. The café is decorated with different types of wicker furniture from the popular Tine K Home. All food is served on unique plates and in cups collected from various second-hand shops. Hence the name of the two cafés, UNIKA.
