Beautiful natural area with flat coastal cliffs and an incomparable view of Nexø.

Beautiful natural area

Halleklippen is a beautiful natural area with flat coastal cliffs and, among other things, juniper bushes, ferns and blackberries just over 2 km north of Nexø.

At Halleklippen you can experience two of the many redoubts on the east coast: “Lerskreds Batteri” and “Jomfruens Batteri”, whose cannons in the old days could protect Nexø.

History of Halleklippen

Halleklippen has given its name to the summer restaurant that was built on the site in 1934, and which still exists on the site – now as a holiday colony.

In the years before and after the Second World War, “Halleklippen” was a very popular dance and meeting place for the youth of Bornholm. The view of the Baltic Sea from the old ballroom is legendary, and the place is still often used by young people from Bornholm for their weddings.
