Hvide Sande Beach is a lively and popular beach on Denmark's North Sea coast, renowned for its wide stretch of fine sand and its unique location between the North Sea and Ringkøbing Fjord.

Hvide Sande Beach offers memorable experiences throughout the year. The wide beach is ideal for swimming, long walks and traditional beach activities, while the reliable wind conditions make it a favourite destination for surfers and other water sports enthusiasts.

The town is just a short walk away, providing easy access to facilities, restaurants and shops, while the busy harbour creates a distinctive atmosphere with its fishing heritage and year-round activity. After a storm, there is also a good chance of finding amber along the shoreline, and the sunsets over the North Sea are spectacular.

Bathing Point Award

Hvide Sande Beach has received the Bathing Point Award, recognising its excellent bathing conditions, high water quality and strong focus on safety. The award makes it easy to choose a beach where quality and safety are prioritised, allowing you to enjoy Denmark's North Sea coast in both active and relaxing surroundings. The beach offers toilet facilities, lifesaving equipment and lifeguards during the summer season. An accessible toilet is also available, and the beach offers wheelchair-accessible access.

Arrival, parking and facilities
The beach can be reached via Dækmolevej, which leads to a small car park. Here you will find toilet facilities with accessible access, an outdoor shower, and picnic tables with benches. From the car park, a paved footpath provides easy access to the beach.

Information
Information about water safety and the Bathing Point Award is available at the beach.

For visitors
Hvide Sande has a population of just over 3,000 people, so the beach is enjoyed by both local residents and visitors. Every year, the town welcomes large numbers of tourists from Denmark and abroad.

Vestled, a sculptural installation

On the beach, you will find the sculptural installation Vestled. The new addition to the sculptural installation makes it possible for baby carriages and wheelchairs to access the beach. The sculptural installation was created by architects and a visual artist, and consists of red tiles, a bronze sculpture, and a rounded piece of dark tiles. One can interpret this piece of art as a symbol of the grandeur of nature.
