Season

Spring and autumn are good times for fishing for flounder as they move along the shipping channel. In summer, there are opportunities for eel fishing in the harbour itself, especially in the evening and at night.

In summer, you can also fish for rainbow trout, while autumn offers opportunities for sea trout and large flounder.

Fishing tips

Use lugworms for flatfish and earthworms for eel fishing. You can also try fishing at the harbour entrance. There is a strong current here, which is well suited to fishing for flatfish.

Try fishing for rainbow trout with a sliding float and an earthworm, shrimp or a piece of herring.

Weather conditions

Onshore winds can make fishing more difficult due to waves and material being stirred up from the seabed.
