Quay of Honour

Welcome to Aalborg’s ”Quay of Honor”! The quay is located just in front of Aalborghus Castle, and it is here that the Royal Yacht docks when it visits Aalborg. The cruise ships visiting Aalborg also dock here.

Honnørkajen has undergone a major renovation and a renewal. It used to be a highly industrial area, but now it's become more of a public space and its big attraction is the big water staircase that leads out into the Limfjord. Honnørkajen connects Aalborghus Castle with the rest of the waterfront, and Aalborghus Castle greets the visitors from the sea.
