SKVULP Festival is an annual event in Kalundborg where the sea provides the setting for a distinctive combination of culture, activity and community. The festival celebrates life by the water and invites locals and visitors alike to experience the many possibilities of the coast through a varied programme for all ages.

During the festival you can take part in everything from water sports and maritime experiences to creative workshops, music and communal dining. The focus is on play, learning and movement, and activities typically take place in and around the harbour area, where the sea becomes an active participant.

SKVULP places emphasis on sustainability and on communicating the marine environment: the nature, the life beneath the surface and the importance of caring for our coasts. At the same time the festival creates a lively urban space with room for both reflection and celebration.

With its informal and inclusive approach, SKVULP has become a gathering point in Kalundborg where community, nature and experiences go hand in hand – a good occasion to see the town from a new angle, with the sea at its centre.
