Stella Maris

Stella Maris is a historic seaside hotel with a distinctive location overlooking Svendborgsund. Since the early 1900s, the house has welcomed guests from Denmark and abroad and today offers hotel accommodation, a restaurant, and meeting facilities in refined surroundings.

Over the years, Stella Maris has served as a private residence, summer guesthouse, missions hotel, and modern seaside retreat. The house has hosted a wide range of cultural figures, including Karen Blixen and actors from the television series Matador.

Following a careful renovation, Stella Maris reopened in 2014 with respect for its architectural heritage. Today, it stands as a place defined by tranquillity, aesthetics, and a strong sense of historical continuity.
