Summer concert in Ringkøbing Church: "Praise" w/ Duo Ecclesia
Now you can experience Duo Ecclesia in Ringkøbing Church. The duo consists of trombone player Frank Herbsleb and organist and pianist Erik Linow.
The title of the programme is ‘Praise’, where picturesque texts from the Old Testament book of Psalms are added to classical music for reflection. The duo will fill the church space with music from the intimate, delicate and sensitive to the grand and impressive. The works are accompanied by informative talks about the music and its composers.
The concert includes You raise with up by Rolf Løvland and Te Deum by Charpentier.
Trombone player Frank Herbsleb trained as a trombone player at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and has extensive concert experience as a soloist, ensemble and orchestral musician, music school director, conductor and teacher.
Organist and pianist Erik Linow holds a degree in church music (cand. musicae) from Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium, Esbjerg. He holds a cand. phil. in music from the University of Copenhagen and Aarhus University, and former organist at Our Saviour's Church in Vejle. He has extensive experience as an organ soloist, ensemble musician and choir conductor.
