The Christmas tree is lit in Østerby
Christmas in Skagen Østerby begins on 15 November 2025 at 3 p.m. The neighbourhood will be decorated with Christmas trees and lights, and everyone is invited to welcome Christmas with communal singing and Christmas treats, while a large, beautiful Christmas tree is lit at the Water Tower.

The Østerby network serves lumumba to the adults and warm cocoa to the children, while on Christmas Day, sweet and savoury treats can be purchased at the surrounding cafés. At the same time, Østerby residents Ann-Marie Gabrielsson and Jesper Hegaard will play Christmas music and invite everyone to join in Christmas carols.
