Experience Fredericia on a smaller scale in the Historical Miniature Town

Have you ever wondered what Fredericia would look like in miniature?

In the Historical Miniature Town, you'll find the answer! The Historical Miniature Town showcases Fredericia as it was in 1849, at a scale of 1:10. Walk among the small houses and discover what lies behind the next street corner. Here, you'll experience Fredericia in a whole new way.

Volunteers behind the detailed buildings

The miniature town's houses have incredible details, and behind them lies a huge construction effort. The houses are primarily built by volunteers who also handle renovations and repairs. Because the buildings stand outside all year round, they are exposed to weathering, and the houses therefore receive regular makeovers to look as beautiful as possible during the summer season.

Visit the Miniature Builders' workshop at Madsby Activity Park

Small bricks and the correct paint color - nothing is left to chance when the Miniature Builders construct and restore.

The group of volunteers calls themselves the Miniature Builders and is based in Madsby Activity Park, where the curious can drop by the workshop and see the massive work behind the buildings in the Historical Miniature Town. Here, they burn a wide range of bricks themselves, each the size of the tip of a finger, and mix the exact paint color.

The Miniature Builders receive help from Fredericia's Local Archive to ensure that the Historical Miniature Town is historically accurate.
