An organic wine adventure on Tuse Næs

When you arrive at Tusen Vin, you’re greeted by a landscape alive with light, movement, and curiosity. On beautiful Tuse Næs, where the fjord and the sky constantly shift character, you’ll find our young organic winery – a place built on passion, care, and a deep belief that Denmark can produce wines of truly exceptional quality.

Tusen Vin was founded by us, Sofie and Esben, in 2020. That spring, 15,000 young vines took root in the Danish soil. It marked the beginning of our wine adventure – a journey that demanded courage, patience, and a strong conviction that cool-climate wines have a special expression and place here in the North.

Our four grape varieties – Solaris, Souvignier gris, Cabernet Cantor, and Muscaris – are deliberately chosen. Not only because they thrive in our climate, but because they each bring character, tension, and a purity that suits the Nordic kitchen perfectly. When you taste our wines, you’re not just tasting a grape variety. You’re tasting Tuse Næs: the light, the wind, the fjord, and the soil that shapes everything we do.

Sparkling and white wines made with care

We specialize in sparkling wines and fresh, aromatic whites because, in our view, these styles highlight what Denmark does best: high acidity, clarity, minerality, and a vibrancy that makes the wines ideal for both gastronomy and everyday moments.

Our sparkling wines are elegant and lively, crafted with the utmost respect for traditional methods and modern precision. Each glass is the result of countless decisions and a constant attention to detail. Our white wines are crisp, bright, and precise – created to pair beautifully with Nordic seafood, vegetables, shellfish, and fresh, green dishes.

All production happens here on the estate. Our grapes travel only a few hundred meters from the vineyard to the winery. This short journey keeps the fruit at its absolute best and gives us full control over every step of the process. For us, winemaking isn’t about hurrying. It’s about understanding, listening, and shaping the best possible expression from vine to bottle.

When we brought in our first harvest in the autumn of 2023, it was a moment we’ll never forget. After three years of waiting, we finally tasted the results of our work. From that harvest came a series of sparkling wines, white wines, and a rosé that now proudly represent the first chapter of Tusen Vin. These wines show why Nordic wine is something unique: clarity, freshness, depth, and an authenticity that can only come from this place.

When you join one of our tours, we begin in the vineyard – where everything starts. You’ll learn why organic farming is so important to us and how we work with nature’s rhythm rather than against it.

From there, we move to our modern winery, where the transformation begins. Here, you’ll step behind the scenes: pressing, fermentation, bottling, and all the details that shape the flavor, texture, and quality of our wines. Our goal is for you not only to learn about wine but to feel it.

And of course, the tour ends with a guided tasting of our wines. Here you can experience Tuse Næs in liquid form. Each wine has its own story, structure, and personality, and we love sharing them with guests – whether you’re a dedicated wine nerd, a gastronomic explorer, or simply someone who enjoys memorable flavors.
