A wind energy story from the 1970s
Just south of Ebeltoft, near the coast, stand four mid-sized wind turbines - the last remaining of a larger wind farm originally built during the energy crisis of the 1970s. At that time, 16 turbines were erected here, making the site an early example of local wind energy production.
These wind turbines were among the first of their type in Denmark and represent a chapter in the history of Danish wind energy. The initiative was driven by local pioneers and energy enthusiasts who experimented with producing energy from wind power.
