Squares, triangles and lines

By artist Malte Fisker, Copenhagen

In Art Tower 2, Malte Fisker has created the work “Basic Forms”, which, as the name suggests, is composed precisely of simple geometric shapes: Squares, triangles, straight lines – all applied in many layers of paint with mathematical precision, so that one senses both the geometry of the underlying layers and the positive and negative forms, which together create a soft and poetic impression. Whilst the work contains references to mathematics, architecture and computer graphics, its limited colour palette is, in contrast, drawn from the Renaissance, including, for example, Lapis Lazuli blue.

Langeland's Art Towers - a unique way of experiencing art

Denmark's longest art exhibition can be experienced by visiting 12 former electrical transformer towers on Langeland. The art towers give visitors an artistic experience in the heart of the Langeland countryside.
From North to South and East to West, you can explore the cultural landscape and enjoy art in rural peace and quiet.

The towers are open all year round. A tour around them all will always offer a new experience, influenced by both the season and weather.
